Award Winning Artist
Throughout L. T. Bunning’s childhood, she was immersed in the arts. Her artist parents worked in Hollywood’s animation industry. It was through them she was able to learn in some of the most creative art studios in the world, observing first hand the artistic skills and processes of her parents and others. Thus was born a passion for art and creativity, which lives to this day.
Bunning studied life drawing and human anatomy under master instructor Karl Gnass at the American Animation Institute in North Hollywood, California. She considers master artists Max Turner and Tony Pro her mentors in fine art. Her dominant muse is the human figure and the landscape of the West. Bunning’s works almost universally reflect energy and life.
Bunning lives in Ventura County, California with her husband and three children, and her current artistic expressions are devoted to capturing the beauty and spirit of traditional dance such as Spanish Flamenco and Ballet Folklorico.
As a fourth generation Californian, L.T. Bunning is proud to share with others her recognition of the beauty and history of the Golden State.
Bunning is drawn to the artistic influences of Michelangelo, Norman Rockwell, Joaquin Sorolla, Nicolai Fechin, and John Singer Sargent.
